Eco - Schools

Hello everyone! I thought that I would update you all on the latest leg of our Eco journey.  This week we have completed section 4 of our plastic free schools and also gained our silver award for Eco schools.   I would like to give everyone a massive thank you for your participation and encouragement.  Also a huge well done to the rest of the school for all you support.

Hello again everyone, It’s your weekly Mr Nancholas update! We’ve had an amazing response to the beach clean. I just thought that I’d remind everyone that it’s going to be on Friday 25th October at Portreath. If we could all aim to meet in the car park for 10.30 am, We will try to start at 11.00am for an hour. Please make sure that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Surfers against Sewage have provided us with all the relevant equipment, so we don’t need to worry about that and in the event of the weather being horrid, I’ll postpone until a later date. Looking forward to seeing you all on the day!

Going Green

Hello everyone! I’m Mr. Nancholas and I just wanted to let you all know about our Green Charter and involvement in the plastic free school journey.  The children have been amazing and formed a committee with myself to tackle such prominent issues in this time of Eco-Emergency.  In just 2 weeks we have achieved our bronze award and the children have litter picked, started a crisp packet recycling programme and planted a wild flower meadow.  All of this in just 2 weeks!!  We will keep you informed of our amazing progress and if anyone would like to donate their time etc, please feel free to contact me.

Going Green’

Hello again everyone! It’s me, Mr Nancholas! I just wanted to let you all know about the amazing work that our Eco-Committee have been doing for the last couple of weeks. We’ve managed to gain our Bronze award for our Eco Schools and have planted a wildflower meadow. Yay!! Some of us also gave an interview to BBC Radio Cornwall this week which went out on the Breakfast show on Wednesday. There is a link on the school website if anyone would like to have a listen. We will soon be writing to our local MP and organising a beach clean with the children so please volunteer your time to help us! Date to follow.
