Crowan Primary School became an academy and simultaneously joined the Southerly Point Cooperative Multi Academy Trust on 1st June 2017.

This partnership includes 15 schools working closely together to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and their families from the age of 0-18 years and beyond with links to a number of external partners including the University College, Falmouth, Careers South West and Truro College.

As a school community we are continuing to work hard to improve standards further by improving:

  • The teaching of phonics by following the systematic whole-school approach of RWinc when learning to read.
  • The wider curriculum by ensuring it is well-mapped, sequenced with clear intent.
  • The EYFS provision by ensuring that 'next steps' are identified and acted upon quickly.
  • The provision for pupils with SEN, by ensuring that pupils needs are met through rapid identification and targeted interventions.
Our School Day
School starts at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15pm.
Our after school 'Kids Club' runs on a Monday and Tuesday from the end of the school day until 5.00pm.  Contact the school office to book into this provision.
Staff also run a range of clubs that pupils can take part in, these are usually after school and finish at 4.15pm, your child will bring a letter home if they have expressed an interest in joining one of these.
School dinners are provided by Chartwells and we use the Parent Pay app for parents to pay for meals and also school trips.
Classes use Class Dojo and Google Classroom platforms to communicate and set work for pupils, so parents are encouraged to download these too.
